With our established Account Director going on maternity leave in January, Brand Culture is looking for a talented, Partnerships Account Director to join the team, working on one of our most exciting accounts – leading media and entertainment company, Universal Pictures International.

After a brief handover period (TBD), you will lead the team of one Senior Partnerships Manager, two Partnerships Managers and an Assistant, tasked with seeking out and negotiating ground-breaking promotional campaigns, designed to drive interest and awareness around our client’s blockbuster cinematic movie releases.

You’ll have ultimate responsibility for the smooth running of the account, guiding the team to ensure all client deliverables are met. We’re looking for someone with a sound understanding of entertainment-led brand partnerships and promotions with proven experience negotiating and delivering 360 degree campaigns with blue-chip brands.

Overview of role and responsibilities

Reporting to our Creative Director and Co-Founder, you will draw on your existing network of relevant brand contacts, as well as making new connections in order to negotiate strong brand partners that meet Universal’s objectives for each title.

You will be the key point of contact for the client(s), both in the UK and with the International team based in LA, and be responsible for nurturing relationships across various lines of business at Universal, acting as an extension of their internal Partnerships team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading partner outreach / guiding pitch process – defining the team’s approach while aligning with Universal’s strategy. You’ll lead complex negotiations, ultimately delivering proposals to the client.
  • Team Lead – Support and motivate the team, offering guidance and solutions.  You’ll be experienced in the fundamental skills of client servicing, able to engage and influence Senior Stakeholders.
  • Negotiator – You’ll have the ability to think quickly and under pressure during complex negotiations including deal structures and contract terms.
  • Creative & strategic thinking – You’ll demonstrate strong creative and strategic thinking skills, creating narratives to support your ideas.
