Bombay Sapphire’s Imagination Series Returns

Following last year’s BAFTA-winning success of short film ‘Room 8′, year two of the Imagination Series presented by Bombay Sapphire Gin saw the five winning short films premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York last month.

Bombay Sapphire invites budding filmmakers across the globe to create content for them in the shape of the Imagination Series. Oscar-winning script writer Geoffrey Fletcher wrote his second short film script, again stripped of any stage directions. The public were then encouraged to enter their film of his script. The five most imaginative films were selected at Tribeca, put into production and premiered at the TFF in April.

It’s great to see the brand continue to leverage film as a means to celebrate creativity. It’s not easy to lay claim to the concept of ‘imagination’ but Bombay Sapphire’s continued support of aspiring filmmakers (in collaboration with Tribeca) proves that film offers a unique platform for the brand to deliver truly creative content. It has inspired five winning interpretations (two from the UK) that feature a realisation set in space, a dark love story, and a world surrounded by street art – all 5 winning films are available to view via the Bombay Sapphire YouTube page.
